Our Faith | Hope and Anchor Community Church

 

At Hope and Anchor, we are a community built around one name: Jesus. We believe He changes lives, restores hearts, and brings real hope. Our faith is alive, rooted in Scripture, powered by the Holy Spirit, and lived out together as family. We are here to know God, love people, and see our city transformed one life at a time. 

 

1. Jesus Is Everything We believe Jesus is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the only way to true life. He lived perfectly, died sacrificially, and rose victoriously. Through Him, we are forgiven, free, and fully alive. “In Christ, all things hold together.” Colossians 1:17  

 

2. The Bible Speaks Truth We believe the Bible is God’s living Word trustworthy, powerful, and relevant. It leads us to Jesus, shapes how we live, and helps us become who we were created to be. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105  

 

3. God Is Father, Son, and Spirit We believe in one God Father, Son, and Holy Spirit perfectly united, perfectly loving. God created us for relationship and invites us into His story of redemption and hope.

 

4. The Holy Spirit Lives in Us We believe the Holy Spirit empowers ordinary people to live extraordinary lives. He comforts, convicts, equips, and fills us with boldness to live like Jesus and love like Jesus. “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.” Acts 1:8

 

5. Grace Changes Everything We believe salvation is a gift not something we earn, but something we receive. By grace, through faith in Jesus, we are made new. We don’t follow rules to be accepted we live loved because we already are. “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith…” Ephesians 2:8

 

6. Church Is Family We believe the Church isn’t a building it’s a people. We’re a global and local family united by Jesus. Everyone has a seat at the table. Everyone belongs. We gather to worship, grow, and go together.

 

7. We Live on Mission We believe the gospel is good news for everyone. Our calling is to love our city, serve the world, and point people to Jesus in everything we do through acts of kindness, justice, and bold faith. “Go and make disciples of all nations…” Matthew 28:19

 

8. Family Matters We believe in strong, Christ-centered families. Whether you’re single, married, parenting, or figuring it out you’re not alone. We invest in the next generation, champion healthy homes, and walk with one another through all seasons of life.  

 

9. Faith for Every Generation We believe Jesus is the hope not just for today, but forever. He’s coming back to restore all things. Until then, we live with purpose, carry hope, and share His love boldly and joyfully.
